Luangwa Safari House is situated on the edge of the famous South Luangwa National Park overlooking a lagoon where families of elephants regularly come to bathe. This thatched Zambian villa was built amongst ancient leadwood trees and has been constructed using locally sourced materials. The South Luangwa is known as the home of the walking safari, so you can expect to set out on fascinating guided walks with your knowledgeable guide. Private day and night drives in the Luangwa National Park are also offered. Between activities, relax in the comfortable lounge area, or cool off in the swimming pool.
One of Africa’s great private safari houses. Four bedrooms, living and dining areas, swimming pool, dining terrace, and the services of a house manager, game ranger and chef – what more could a family need. The chandelier is very, very impressive, and the house is one of the best private safari houses in Southern Africa.
Luangwa Safari House has a large wooden terrace where you relax and perhaps even enjoy some game viewing. Escape the heat of the afternoon at the swimming pool which overlooks the lagoon where wildlife frequently gather to drink.
Meals are prepared by an in-house chef and offer a quality menu of dishes that can be enjoyed on the wooden private dining terrace
Private safari house, four bedrooms (double or twin)
At Luangwa Safari House they accept children from the age of 7, and they are able to get involved in various activities such as game drives, nature walks and even star gazing. These are all age dependent, and there is an incredible team to also look after the children should you want some time alone, or attend your own private game drive. They can stay behind, take a dip in the plunge pool (while being watched), make paper mache lion or elephant heads, and even bake cookies with the chef for your afternoon tea return. Meal times are scheduled around when would be best for you as a family.
