On the shores of the vast, man-made Lake Kariba, Changa Safari Camp provides seclusion and under canvas luxury while remaining in tune to its natural surroundings.
With 4.5 kilometres of shoreline and access to Matusadona National Park, Changa is able to offer varied activities including game drives to search for elephant and buffalo; game walks to seek out the smaller creatures and track animals; fishing for Kariba's famous fighting tigerfish; and boat trips on the lake to view hippos, crocodiles and the abundant birdlife.
When not out exploring the bush and the lake, guests can relax back at the camp on their tent's private veranda, in the homely lounge or by the swimming pool looking out over the expanse of Lake Kariba.
A rare find in such a remote location. Changa Safari Camp manages to balance the need for luxurious comfort in the wilderness without losing touch with the natural surroundings. Its superb location on the shore of the lake ensures easy access to water based activities and immense scenic beauty with picture perfect sunsets over the water.
Whether dining outside on the deck under a canopy of trees or inside around the large dining table, dining at Changa is a relaxed affair with delicous fresh food. The Chef creates masterpieces to delight guests with a variety of flavours and taste sensations.
Each of the six double and two family tents have a private veranda, outdoor bath and shower and are tastefully decorated with locally crafted furniture and African designs.
The minimum age at Changa is 10 and there are two family tents that can accommodate children with their parents.
