Unbridled luxury meets environmental harmony in this private game lodge which sits on the edge of one of the largest lakes in the reserve.
Accommodation is in sumptuous suites, one of which has 2 bedrooms, or for those preferring more privacy, the 2-bedroom private Chitwa House. Apart from the Big 5, the area also hosts cheetah, giraffe, hippo and antelope, many of which can be seen from the large viewing deck, so guests need not ever leave the property. Twice daily game drives and escorted walks are offered for those able to tear themselves away from the lodge!
Consistently busy, so early booking is always recommended for this lodge. The suites are of an excellent size but the major attraction is the Chitwa House, a private 2-bedroom villa with a dedicated game ranger and safari vehicle.
Treat yourself to a superb variety of dining options at Chitwa Chitwa Lodge: apart from an amazing selection of dishes and flavours, you will immerse into a sophisticated and magic atmosphere by banqueting under the stars in the boma, with a stunning view of the lake in the lapa or surrounded by the extremely elegant ambience in the main dining room.
Chitwa Chitwa offers 6 stylish suites, the Charlsy Suite, designed for families, and the Chitwa House, an exclusive villa with 2 en-suite bedrooms. All the suites open onto a private lake view deck with a plunge pool and include an elegant fireplace, fans and outdoor showers. The house comes with spacious lounge/dining area, swimming pool, private safari vehicle with guide and tracker, private meals, private chefs and television.
Completely children-friendly, Chitwa Chitwa offers its younger visitors a range of eco-activities tailored to improve their African knowledge. Chitwa Children Eco-Experience includes bush walks, painting sessions and other educational activities which turn their holidays into a high-instructive journey.
Note: If the child is above the age of six then they are welcome on the adult game drive. However, if they are under six, and the parents would like them to experience a game drive, they would need to higher the game drive vehicle exclusively – which must be pre-booked.
