There is a sense of history among the stone walls, thatched roofs and wooden walkways in the elegance of this lodge, while inside antiques and rich rugs give a sense of comfort and warmth.
Each of the nine suites, with their wide wooden decks and private plunge pools, offer the same old-style service as well as gourmet food and wine. For families, groups of friends or just those seeking a little exclusivity, Uplands Homestead & Melton Manor are two superb exclusive-use villas with their own chef and game ranger.
Great game-viewing and a great location, as the lodge clings to the side of a valley. The private pools are well hidden down the hill from each of the suites, and the two private villas – Melton Manor & Uplands Homestead – are well thought out and equipped, with the villa hosts being particularly good with children.
Meals are served in either the spacious dining rooms, out in the open air boma or in the bush on special occasions. We are also able to arrange private dining should you wish.
All rooms are decorated and furnished in the same style with their own private plunge pools and decking areas to relax on when not on safari.
Another great family safari destination – families are best accommodated in either Melton Manor or the Uplands Homestead which can only be taken on a private basis. Staff can then tailor the safari programme to families ensuring that they make the most out of their time on safari.
