The Ol Pejeta Conservancy offers guests a wonderfully remote environment to enjoy quality game viewing and is home to Kenya's largest population of Black Rhino, considerable numbers of elephant, cheetah, lion and leopard.
Nestled in the shadows of Mount Kenya, Kicheche Laikipia Camp has a prime position in the conservancy and blends beautifully and sensitively with its surroundings. Privacy and personal service are assured as the main camp has just six luxurious tents featuring en suite bathrooms and outdoor decks where guests can relax and lookout for passing wildlife.
There are a wide variety of activities available to guests including day and night game drives, guided walks and mountain bike safaris.
Get away from the crowds at this authentic camp and enjoy great game viewing in very comfortable and well thought out surroundings.
All produce for the meals is locally sourced. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are often taken al-fresco and pre-dinner drinks and star gazing are a must under the great African sky. Picnic breakfasts and lunches are also available.
The six luxurious tents are furnished in a traditional African safari theme and overlook a large waterhole. They provide a very comfortable experience and feature en suite bathrooms and outdoor decks where guests can relax and lookout for passing wildlife.
A wide selection of activities are available to guests including day and night game drives, guided walks and mountain bike safaris. Guests can also get involved in the lion tracking and research program. A visit can also be arranged to the Ol Pejeta Chimpanzee Sanctuary to learn about the perils facing chimpanzees in the wild. There is also a two person canoe which can be used by guests.
The camp acccepts children, but it is not fenced and no additional facilities are available to occupy them outside the normal excursions.
