The latest addition to Leeu Collection’s portfolio is Le Quartier Français. This romantic 21-room boutique hotel with its charming three-bedroom LQF Villa is home to world-renowned restaurant La Petie Colombe. Located in the heart of Franschhoek, Le Quartier Français is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding winelands, or you can simply walk into the village to discover its quaint charms. The extraordinary staff, luxuriously comfortable rooms and attention to detail ensure that this auberge is the ultimate destination.
One of the first properties to open in Franschhoek. The four quarter suites are like mini-villas, but those without the budget should try to get into one of the snug rooms in the adjacent Delicious building.
The new sibling of Top 10 restaurant La Colombe has just opened its doors in Franschhoek. La Petite Colombe has taken over the space formerly occupied by legendary chef Margot Janse and her multi-award-winning restaurant, The Tasting Room. Dishes on the menu, conceptualised by Scot Kirton and James Gaag, include champagne-poached oysters; Asian-style salmon with aubergine, miso, kalamansi and avo.
All rooms are located within the spacious grounds of Le Quartier, nicely separated from one another. All are spacious and well furnished with large bathrooms. Auberge Suites have their own private swimming pools and the Four Quarters Suites are very spacious, set around their own courtyard and private pool.
New for 2016 is the Le Quartier Francias Villa. This charming three bedroom is over 5000sqft and features its own private pool, two loungers, an open plan kitchen, full service concierge and secure parking in a garage.
A very good option for families looking for an elegant option. The Four Quarters Suites are ideal for larger family groups and will provide access to a private swimming pool.
