An extraordinary place where the bush vegetation merges with the endless sands of the Indian Ocean, right on the edge of the Eastern Cape.
Accommodation is in three lodge suites and four ocean suites, all spacious with private decks, and there is also a three bedroom private house with its own plunge pool, butler and babysitting service. Wildlife can be viewed from either the sandy beach or from the comfort of the lodge’s great wooden deck, with the golden sands offering a wonderful diversion.
A fairly unique lodge, where the game viewing runs right down to the beach, and the unusual swimming pool has been created in the shape of Africa. The private three-bedroom house with plunge pool and butler is very popular, so book early for this treat.
Exotic flavours from locally sourced produce are blended together to create the distinctive and delicious cuisine at Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve. Whether you choose to dine in the casual ambience of the dining room, where the tones of the walls, crockery and linen mimic the colours and textures of natures surroundings, or to being seated on the wooden terrace with open vistas of the reserve and the ocean beyond, Oceana offers a number of perfect settings from which to enjoy crisp mornings, warm afternoons and star studded skies when dining.
With just 7 lodge rooms and a 3 bedroom private house, this is an ideal retreat for those looking for a small, intimate lodge. The 3 Lodge Suites are located within the main building and are sumptuously furnished, very spacious and have stunning views out across the bush to the ocean. The 4 Ocean Suites are free standing and have superb Ocean views from their own private decking areas.
The private 3 Bedroom House is an independent unit, with a decking area, complete with Jacuzzi, at the front of the property.
Very good for children and families. Activity programmes can be tailored to children and the private house is an ideal base for families looking for a luxurious base from which to explore the area.
