As luxurious as it gets deep in the bush – palatial and opulent, furnished with antiques, burnished silks, chandeliers and Persian rugs. There are just eight capacious suites, each with its own spacious wooden deck, private plunge pool and butler service. Wooden walkways link each one to the main camp with its dining room, boutique and library.
Hidden in the bush a few yards away is the Waters of Royal Malewane, a spa that would not look out of a place in a five- star city hotel, but for a passing springbok. Food is an important element in any stay here with gourmet feasts held under the stars in the boma, hidden in a Bedouin tent or in the elegance of the dining room. This, plus great game viewing with the Big 5, over 300 different species of bird and some of Africa’s finest safari guides equals an unrivalled experience.
Africa House
Just five minutes from the main lodge is a private villa originally built for the owners of Royal Malewane, but now available for private rental. Extravagantly spacious with six bedrooms and large living and dining areas, it comes with its own safari vehicle, ranger and tracker as well as its own chef and housekeeping staff – ideal for special celebrations with families or a group of friends.
The mother jewel in Liz Biden’s Royal Portfolio crown, Royal Malewane sets the safari standards for the Kruger area which the rest try to follow. If he is available, ask for Juan Pinto to take your game drive – he is amongst Africa’s best.
Let the most enchanting Africa bewitch you with its delightful and exotic dishes. A top-level range of specialities, prepared by professional chefs and accompanied by South African wines, is served within a spellbinding atmosphere, amongst Bedouin tents, glittering tables, magnificent firesides, African singing and sparkling candles. Besides, Royal Malewane offers its guests a complete array of Kosher meals, prepared in accordance to proper required standards.
Royal Malewane has three kinds of elegant, comfortable and luxurious accommodations, distinguished by refined furniture, private deck, breathtaking views and a meticulous attention to privacy and tranquillity. Pampering guests even in the wildest heart of Africa is an essential priority.
There are eight spacious suites decorated in classic colonial style and a huge self-contained house, designed for families or groups of up to 12.
The property, with its spacious suites, is ideal for family holidays. From adventurous guided safaris to private relaxing moments, kids will enjoy their stay surrounded by an enchanted and magical atmosphere. However, no children under the age of 12 can be accommodated in the double luxury suites or the main lodge area, unless the entire lodge is booked for exclusive use, while children of all ages are welcome in the Royal Suite, Malewane Suite and Africa House, if exclusively booked.
