Sanctuary Olonana is an award-winning tented safari camp located on a private stretch of the Mara River in the heart of Kenya’s most famous game reserve, the Masai Mara.
This small and exclusive camp, the first of Sanctuary's luxury safari properties, was built along sustainable lines which, along with its innovative wetlands and tree-planting projects, have earned Sanctuary Olonana a Gold Award from Ecotourism Kenya.
Accommodation consists of fourteen spacious and tastefully appointed suites with en-suite bathrooms and river view verandahs where guests can relax and watch the resident hippos who colonise the banks below the camp.
After a busy day of game drives, relax with a good book in the library, cool off in the pool or for an extra special treat, experience traditional African remedies and spa treatments in the camp's mini-spa.
In a peaceful setting on the banks of the Mara River, Sanctuary Olonana has superb staff and guides and award winning conservation projects. Families will love the spacious suites and kids activities.
If you're heading out on an early game drive you may want to have a picnic breakfast somewhere along the way, although at Olonana it will be the most luxurious picnic possible. You can also choose to have dinner in the bush under the African stars, and of course any safari wouldn't be complete without sundowners - enjoy drinks overlooking the plains of the Masai Mara as the sun sets.
The camp features fourteen spacious and tastefully appointed tents with en-suite bathrooms and river view verandas where guests can relax and watch the resident hippos wallowing.
