Long after the day is done and you begin to wind down for the evening, the pool deck at the Cape View Clifton is the perfect closing scene-setting for any traveller. Surrounded by uninterrupted views of Cape Town's iconic Clifton and Camps Bay coastline, this spot is truly magical for watching the sunset. Nested at the base of Table Mountain National Park is The Lawns at The Roundhouse. Boasting an array of outdoor spaces that watch over the dramatic views of Cape Town's mountainside, this is the perfect location to relax, eat good food and watch the sun go down.
For a true African sunset, one must go to the top of the famous Table Mountain. Either choose to slowly take in the views by cable car or hike to the top and reward yourself with the magnificent views of the beautiful city below as you watch the sun slip below the horizon.
Established in 1959, this spot has become the local favourite for residents of Cape Town. If you are searching for a stunning sea view and some amazing food as you watch the sunset, La Perla is the place for you. The outstanding Italian menu and delicious cocktails, make La Perla a luxurious spot to take in the views.
This exclusive venue is truly one of a kind. Filled with beachy, boho interiors and some excellent music from the resident DJ, this is the spot to come to if you want to unwind and relax with a cocktail in hand.
A notoriously famous sundowner spot is Signal Hill and it is easy to see why. From this point, you can observe spectacular panoramic views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and Robben Island whilst having a glass of champagne in your hand.
