Nestled into the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean sits the Tintswalo Atlantic, a luxury 5 star lodge boasting breath-taking panoramic views, beautifully designed rooms, and superb service. At the Tintswalo Atlantic no two suites are the same, with every attention having been paid to detail to ensure each has a unique yet sophisticated theme. Drawing influence from the power of nature and different islands, you may opt for a stay in the Cousine Island suite where the turquoise décor mirrors the sparkling waters found in the Seychelles, or else the Ithaca Island suite where there is a distinct Grecian style. The high standard achieved in the suites is continued elsewhere around the lodge, with a range of excellent facilities being offered including a boutique wine cellar, heated pools, and more that all ensure the most comfortable of stays. In terms of location, once again guests are extremely well served, with the vibrant city of Cape Town within close reach, yet far enough away that the tranquil setting remains undisturbed, and a host of other exciting activities to be found nearby.
The stunning views, excellent location and unique room designs are what makes this 5 star lodge so special - a stay here is sure to be memorable for all the right reasons. In a great location you won't be short of activities either, the Tintswalo Atlantic is a true gem in Cape Town.
The Tintswalo Atlantic offers a fine dining experience with a five star menu.
Guests can pick from the set menu or otherwise speak with the chefs to create a more personalised dining experience.
In room dining is also available during the kitchen operating hours.
There are 10 Island Suites available, each which can sleep 2 adults with the option of another bed for a child, as well as a presidential suite which combines two Island Suites and a spacious living room and can sleep up to 4.
Robben Island Suite: The Robben Island Suite pays tribute to South Africa’s first democratically elected president, the esteemed Nelson Mandela who was imprisoned on Robben Island for nearly 24 years. It provides a quirky and yet very real reminder to those who wish to reflect on South Africa’s transition.
Princes' Island Suite: There are a total of nine islands in the Sea of Marmara not far from the city of Istanbul, known as the Princes’ Islands. Here the Byzantine influence is evident, along with tasteful use of terracotta and clay colours evoke a warm, yet fresh ambience.
Antigua Island Suite: Decorated in typical Caribbean “shabby-chic” style – the bright blues and yellows of this suite will appeal to those who have a sense of fun.
Madura Island Suite: Decorated in blues, purples and browns the beautiful Madura Island Suite represents the Balinese islands with their lovely use of carved wood, exuding a naturally warm and inviting atmosphere.
Cousine Island Suite: Cousine Island is a Seychelles Island famous for the beautiful species of shells, fish and marine life that it provides sanctuary to. The aqua colours used in the design of the suite are reminiscent of the beautiful colour of the sea in and around its coral reefs.
Sante Marie Island Suite: Sante Marie is a beautiful island off the coast of Madagascar, and this suite is the only one not decorated with any shade of blue. Striking in its inspired use of glass and light, this is the most feminine suite of the collection.
Sicily Island Suite: The famous Italian island of Sicily, is a little “on the side”, and has a distinct style and persona all of its own. The suite for which it is named pays tribute to classic Italian style.
Lamu Island Suite: Lamu Island is a Swahilian island just off the East coast of Africa, and formerly a penal colony. The interior design of this room showcases the fun, natural and organic elements that typify this stretch of coastline, and lends a distinctly African feel to your accommodation.
Ithaca Island Suite: The Ithaca Island Suite takes its name from the Greek island, and represents the country in classic Grecian style. This suite provides crisp, minimalist accommodation with blues and indigos offset with whites, creams and natural organic textures.
Zanzibar Island Suite: One of our most lovely and most popular East African island destinations – the island has a vibrant historical identity and colour which we have tried to emulate in the interior design. This suite is accessible by wheelchair.
Presidential Suite: The presidential suite comprises two island suites joined by a spacious common living area. The suite, luxuriously finished and uniquely decorated in classic Atlantic style, provides a private refuge and exclusive accommodation for up to four guests at a time.
Children are allowed and a babysitting service is available, however there are no other facilities available for them and those under 10 are not permitted to eat in the dining rooms.
