Mana Pools National Park is a remote, unspoilt wilderness with the chance to explore the Zambezi River, floodplains and lagoons and enjoy some superb, up close game viewing.
Zambezi Expeditions is a seasonal camp that is set up prior to your arrival on the banks of the river. The tents are comfortable with outdoor bucket showers and flush toilets. Canoeing on the river and gliding silently along while getting close to big game such as elephants, hippos and buffalo coupled with game drives on the flood plains and bush walks make this a wonderful place for those with a sense of adventure.
The seasonal tented camp offers a great experience for those looking for an authentic, down to earth safari. The camp is built up before arrival and offers a different take on the usual lodge safari and allows visitors to follow game and immerse themselves in the bushveld. Mobile camps have a low eco-imprint and offer a genuine under canvas safari feel.
The camp has a main tent with a lounge and bar area as well as a dining area. The Chef prepares fresh, tasty menu's daily and even cooks up your catch - if you're lucky enough to bag one.
6 canvas tents each with an ensuite bathroom can be found at the rear of the tent. Each bathroom comes with its own toilet as well as a bucket shower, taking guests back to that bygone era of the original expedition camps. There is a camera charging facility and 12-volt lighting within the main mess tent area.
Small children are not accepted for stays at Zambezi Expeditions due to the open nature of the camp. The minimum age is 16 years old.
