&Beyond Phinda Zuka Lodge is a home away from home. It is an intimate safari retreat situated amongst densely wooded hills studded with aloes overlooking a private (and very popular) waterhole.
Each of their four cottages is coolly decorated in contemporary style and has its own private sitting area as well as a rather wonderful circular bath chamber, complete with indoor and outdoor showers.
Everything you need is right within reach - your personal game ranger and game drive vehicle, an interactive kitchen with a dedicated chef, a butler to see to your daily needs, a comfortable library with Internet access and TV for the children, a sitting room with a fireplace for evening chats, your own swimming pool and even a private watering hole for your own exclusive wildlife encounters. With no set timetable or routine, savour the wonders of the bush at your own pace and leisure.
The cutest of the properties on the Phinda Private Game Reserves. There are just four cottages and the camp can be booked exclusively, but families should just be aware that the rooms are separate and stand apart from each other.
Dine socially in the lodge’s Boma where you get a chance to swap stories and share photos from your day’s game drive. If you fancy something different and want a night with just your loved ones, then request to dine in the bush. It’s incredibly private and is a great way to top off a fantastic days exploring.
Just four thatched Zululand bush cottages set 15 metres apart, featuring verandas overlooking a busy waterhole. Air-conditioned bedrooms have fans and en-suite bathrooms, with a circular stone bath chamber, shower, separate W.C and twin hand basins.
Children are welcome. Sitting areas in the guest cottages feature built-in sofas which double as beds for parents travelling with children 5 years and younger. Child-minders at an additional cost. Children aged 2 to 11 years on game-drives at the lodge manager’s discretion. No more than 1 triple at any one time.
The lodge is able to accommodate one triple room when booked exclusively. Childminders can be organised at an additional cost. The lodge also features the WILDChild programme, which involves fun interactive activities to enjoy and learn from. Each child will receive a WILDChild bag filled with goodies and a personalised note, with those under the age of 3 receiving a soft toy too.
