Named after the English explorer Samuel Baker, Baker's Lodge enjoys an enviable position on the banks of the Nile and is perfectly located for excursions into Murchison Falls National Park. Here, you can experience the river as it cascades over the 40 metre high falls through an eight metre wide gap and also when it is more serene as it flows peacefully through a large papyrus delta. Away from the river, game drives allow the opportunity for spotting game such as elephant, lion, buffalo and giraffe.
The lodge's main lounge, dining and bar areas are raised up on wooden decks with views towards the river with the chance to spot the myriad birdlife and possibly see hippos and elephants too.
Make the most of the lodge's setting on the Nile by taking to the water on a boat cruise or trying your hand at fishing for Nile perch.
Each of the ten thatched suites at Baker's Lodge have a private deck with views towards the Nile. These large rooms are eco-friendly with solar lighting and solar heated hot water in the open plan ensuite bathrooms.
Children of all ages are welcome and kids under five sharing with parents stay free of charge.
