Five-star standards deep in the bush with this lodge’s four large thatched suites – one of which is a truly romantic honeymoon suite with a huge four-poster mahogany bed. A recent addition are luxury safari tents tents, which offer a memorable tented safari experience without compromising on luxury or comfort.
Intimate and romantic, Bukela is an ideal location for a private party or a small wedding reception, yet at the same time it offers great game viewing on foot, by safari vehicle and by boat. It also has a large wooden pool deck and a library with internet facilities.
A five star lodge with a choice of suites or luxury tents. If you can bag the honeymoon suite then do so – it is very romantic and has a magnificent mahogany four-poster bed.
Food is a key feature of any stay at Bukela Lodge. Guests will be treated to fantastic buffet breakfasts and lunches (with hot options included) as well as a huge spread for afternoon tea as a prelude to their afternoon safari. On returning to the lodge dinner will be served, outside under the stars if weather permits.
With just 4 thatched rooms making up the lodge, Bukela provides a truly intimate safari experience. Guests will benefit from mahogany beds, spacious rooms and bathrooms with outdoor sitting areas.
The property has recently introduced ten luxury safari tents, which feature modern comforts expansive open-plan lounges with couches and armchairs and viewing decks. From the comfort of these viewing decks, guests can spot the elephant, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, buck, warthog, zebra and other wildlife that roam the valley. The main deck faces the sunset, and is perfect for a private sundowner experience.
Much better options exist at Amakhala for children as this is such an intimate camp.
