Set atop a ridge in the Northern section of the Chobe National Park, Chobe Elephant Camp is a fantastic value for money option for those looking to enjoy the fabulous game viewing of the area. The ridge-top location means guests can see for miles around and also offers easy access to some of the best game viewing areas of Chobe, including the areas with large herds of Elephant. In between morning and afternoon game drives, the small pool area is the perfect place to cool off or you can relax in the lounge area of the main lodge. The rooms are simple, comfortable chalets and very welcoming after a long, tiring day exploring the bush.
Easy to access, offering great game viewing at a great price, Chobe Elephant Camp is a great option for exploring Chobe and keeping the price down. The views from the camp are stunning and the pool area is a lovely place to cool off between your game viewing activities.
Meals are served in the main dining area in the lodge, which is open sided and provides lovely views when enjoying breakfast and lunch. Hearty, home-cooked meals are the order of the day here.
The 10 double rooms and 1 family suite are all permanent structures, set away from the main part of the lodge. They are simple and comfortably furnished, with spacious bathrooms and small decking areas out the front where you can relax. The construction of the rooms, using sandbags as insulation, means that they stay cool in summer but warm in winter and at night, helping to make the experience of staying here as comfortable as possible.
This is a great option for families travelling together – especially with the family tent. It’s small an intimate (only 24 guests can stay), so you are well looked after, and it’s a great way to spend quality family time together.
