Chobe Game Lodge has an excellent location as it is the only permanent lodge in the riverfront area of the Chobe National Park. One of the highlights of a visit to this area is a boat cruise on the river and the lodge's location means that the stretches of water that may be busy with boats from other lodges and day trippers can be avoided.
A raised boardwalk running for several hundred metres next to the river has several viewing decks from which to enjoy the animal and birdlife on the water and the surrounding floodplain which attracts large herds of animals including the elephants that have made Chobe famous. There are a number of seating areas, lounges and bars in which to relax between game drives and boat cruises. The lodge has pioneering electric safari vehicles and boats which enhance your game viewing experience by allowing you to approach animals in silence.
The 47 luxurious rooms and suites all face the river with the suites have the added benefits of a lounge area and outside terrace complete with private plunge pool.
It may be large but the lodge is super smart and has an enviable position inside the National Park and away from the crowds.
The lodge has 47 air conditioned rooms and suites all of which face the river. The bathrooms feature Victorian style baths and separate showers with a range of eco-friendly toiletries. If you are looking for more exclusivity the four river view suites have a lounge, outdoor terrace and private plunge pool.
Morning and afternoon game drives, mid-morning and sunset boat cruises.
Children of all ages are accepted at the lodge and there is one family unit.
