Explore Southern Tanzania on this exceptional itinerary, which will take you to two of the country's best and least-visited reserves.
Accommodation includes: Siwandu Camp, and Jongomero Camp
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Addis Abba
Morning arrival and connecting flight to Dar es Salaam. Clear immigration, collect your luggage and make your way through to the Arrivals Hall. There you will be met and escorted to the check-in area for your short Coastal Aviation flight down to the Siwandu Airstrip in the Selous Game Reserve.
From the airstrip you will be taken on the short game drive transfer through the park to Siwandu Camp where you will be spending the next 4 nights. After lunch and some time to relax you will meet with your ranger and fellow guests for afternoon tea before heading out on a game drive to explore the beautiful and game rich Selous Game Reserve.
In addition to your morning and afternoon game drives, you will be able to enjoy guided walks and boat cruises on the Rufiji River during your stay at Siwandu.
This morning begins with a game activity after which you will enjoy breakfast in the lodge before being transferred back to the Siwandu Airstrip for the Coastal Aviation flight to the Ruaha Game Reserve. You will be met at the Jongomero Airstrip and transferred through the reserve to Jongomero Camp where you will be spending the next 3 nights.
Again you will be able to enjoy lunch and some time at leisure to relax before starting your game viewing activities in Ruaha. As with Siwandu, you will be able to enjoy both game drives and guided walks (over 16's only) on routes that were developed by the guides from Jomgomero so you get a truly unique experience. There is also the possibility to enjoy overnight "fly camping" in the reserve which is an amazing way to get close to the bush and enjoy this beautiful, unspoilt reserve.
Enjoy a last morning activity in the Ruaha and transfer to the airstrip for the light aircraft flight to Dar-Es-Salaam. Board your overnight flight to London via Addis Ababa.
Morning arrival into London Heathrow.
