In the heart of the iSiMangaliso Wetlands National Park, Kosi Forest Lodge is a wonderful base for those looking to enjoy the diverse range of activities that the region has to offer. The 16 rooms are comfortably furnished with lovely views out into the forest, just a short walk from the main part of the lodge with the open air bathrooms with sunken baths offering a wonderfully romantic and memorable experience. Meals are served in the main lodge, although private dining can be arranged on request.
A superb, underrated lodge, whether you are looking for some active exploration of the region or a rustic, romantic Honeymoon retreat. Travel during the Summer to enjoy night time Turtle tracking on the beaches – a highlight of any trip.
Meals are served in the main dining room or al fresco on the decking area. The focus is on hearty, traditional dining using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Private dining can be arranged in your room should you wish.
15 Suites and 1 Honeymoon Suite make up Kosi Forest Lodge. They are all set away from the main lodge in the Sand Forest, so offer a fantastic feeling of intimacy, especially the Honeymoon Suite. A fantastic feature is the outdoor bathrooms with sunken baths – they are lit by candles in the evening which gives a wonderfully romantic feel. Inside the rooms you will feel comfortable and very much at home with all of the amenities you could wish for. Blinds can be fully rolled up to give you fantastic views of the Sand Forest.
Children are welcome at Kosi Forest Lodge and the activities are great for children, very adventurous and educational.
