Highlights

Our Thoughts

This really is as good as it gets in South Africa, or indeed anywhere; everything ‘La Res’ does is seven-star. The general manager Edward, and his trusty lieutenant Nick, offer the finest yet most discreet service possible. If your budget can stretch to it, stay here.

La Residence restaurant’s dining area is reminiscent of a manor hall, resplendent with dazzling chandeliers, black and white flooring and vast fireplaces, while outside, the Persian Alley offers a delightful setting for alfresco summer meals. Here a bubbling rill flows between lush green lawn and luxuriant floral borders. The chef presents a seasonal menu that is alive with flavour, made from the best local ingredients and produce freshly picked from La Residence’s own kitchen garden.

Every suite and villa is uniquely decorated in an eclectic and luxurious manner whilst retaining a certain rustic simplicity and elegance, all with a French twist. Sink into the sumptuous beds and pamper yourself in the bathrooms fit for a queen. And finally relax on your private balcony which as promised rewards you with breath-taking views – life can sometimes be really this good.
