High in the Drakensberg Mountains, offering stunning views to the surrounding peaks you will find Montusi Mountain Lodge. The cottages are spread throughout the grounds of the lodge, offering guests a perfect place to relax after a day walking the Drakensberg or enjoying the activities in the lodge. A spacious swimming pool, lawns and a tennis court are found on the property. The staff here really help to make the experience, whether they are taking you on a guided hike or conversing over dinner. Montusi is a wonderful base for exploring the diverse and beautiful Drakensberg Mountains.

All meals are offered in the spacious main dining room, which, with it’s thatched roof and stunning views makes for a great setting. Meals are lovingly prepared with a range of locally sourced ingredients, including Trout caught from nearby streams, Karoo lamb and delicious South African beef. If guests wish to have private dining then this can be arranged in the comfort of your room.
All 16 rooms have wonderful views to the surrounding mountains and on returning from dinner you will find complimentary cookies and a weather report for the following day.
A wonderful destination for families, very popular throughout the year. The family suites are perfect, lovely and spacious with large lounge areas. The activities lend themselves really well to families, allowing them to explore the area and enjoy different interests.
