Located on an island just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park this is a wonderful owner-run safari camp. There are just six large safari tents and three honeymoon suites (each of which has a private plunge pool) all of them facing east so that they wake with the rising sun.
Musango offers the type of safari holiday people dream about - classic yet with modern comforts. Great food, good guides, a wide range of activities and amazing game.
Musango is all about the owner – Steve Edwards. One of Zimbabwe’s finest, Steve’s enthusiasm for the environment and wildlife is very infectious, and those lucky enough to stay here will enjoy accompanying him on boat trips, and on game drives and walks. Whilst the accommodation is comfortable & no-frills, the home-cooked food is wonderful, and Musango offers one of the best safari stays not only in Matusadona and the Kariba area, but in the whole of Zimbabwe. A genuine hidden gem.

The accommodation at Musango consists of 6 large twin luxurious safari tents, each with an en-suite bathroom built of natural stone. Musango also boasts two large honeymoon suites with private plunge pools. These tented rooms are set in thick forest, and all face east over the lake, towards the rising sun.
There is also a honeymoon suite that has been uniquely designed and built of natural stone, under thatch. Special canvas interiors ensure total privacy. There is also a private verandah and secluded intimate plunge pool.
