Nestled among boulders and trees in a private concession to the south of the Serengeti National Park, Mwiba Lodge overlooks a rocky gorge on the Arugusinyai River and the surrounding grassed plains.
This sophisticated retreat blends both traditional and modern designs but remains sympathetic to its natural surroundings. The lodge has eight luxurious tented suites which are private havens in which to relax and indulge.
You will not only take game drives during the day with a private guide and vehicle but also have the opportunity to explore the reserve on foot and also seek out nocturnal animals on night game drives; two activities that are not possible from most camps in the Serengeti. The reserve has numerous springs which sustain a diverse range of wildlife and the lodge is also in a prime location for experiencing the vast herds of the wildebeest migration as they feed and calve in the area in the early part of the year.
Mwiba is a gem of a lodge offering privacy, exclusivity and sophisticated bush luxury. Stay for at least four nights to enjoy the game experience but also to take time to relax in the indulgent surroundings.
A stunning lodge in a private reserve that allows guests to enjoy activities such as walking safaris and night drives that most Serengeti lodges cannot offer.
Whether dining at the main lodge or enjoying a bush lunch in the shade of a tree, the fare at Mwiba is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.
The eight beautiful tented suites offer true bush luxury with exquisite fabrics and furnishings reflecting the soft, natural tones of the bush. Enjoy views over the reserve from your wooden deck, while soaking in the tub or from the private outdoor shower.
Mwiba accepts children of all ages and offers two tents that can be combined into a larger family tent.
