Okonjima, a three hour drive north of Windhoek, has a beautiful, hilly bushveld setting and is home to the Africat Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to the long term conservation of Namibia's carnivores through education, research and managing human-wildlife conflict. Guests at Okonjima can visit the information and care centre to learn more about the work of Africat and among the activities are game drives to track radio collared leopards and guided nature walks.
There is a range of accommodation options at Okonjima to suit all tastes and budgets including the exclusive use Villa and Bush Suite, Bush Camp with its secluded thatched chalets and the larger Plains Camp which features family and wheelchair friendly rooms and views over the plains.
A visit to Okonjima is an educational experience and a chance to support the important work of the Africat Foundation in protecting and rehabilitating Namibia's large carnivores.

The Villa and Bush Suite each have private facilities including swimming pools, lounges and dining areas. Plains Camp has two swimming pools, lounges and a curio shop. The main lodge area at Bush Camp overlooks the waterhole and features a cosy lounge, fire places, a curio shop and dining areas.
Guests staying in the Villa or the Bush Suite have their own chef so what and when you eat are flexible. Plains Camp and Bush Camp have their own restaurants serving fresh, delicious meals.
Plains Camp has six garden rooms, ten standard rooms with views over the plain and small verandahs and 14 view rooms which have larger verandahs, are more spacious and set further apart for more privacy.
The more exclusive Bush Camp has 8 spacious, thatched chalets and a honeymoon suite which are spaced far apart from each other for complete privacy and to make the most of the wonderful bush views you can roll up the canvas panelling and feel closer to nature.
The private Bush Suite has two separate ensuite bedrooms so is perfect for a family or small group. The suite has a large lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas and swimming pool along with private host, chef and game drive vehicle.
Rooms at the Villa can be booked individually or, when booked on an exclusive use basis, can sleep up to 8 adults and 4 children in two ensuite bedrooms in the main house and two separate luxury suites. With a personal host, chef, guide, private game viewing vehicle, superb infinity pool, shaded sala (day bed) and spacious lounge and dining area the Villa is the ultimate private retreat.
Children from the age of 3 are accommodated at Plains Camp and The Bush Suite, where as children over the age of 12 are welcome at Bush Camp and The Villa. Some activities have age restrictions and there are no child care facilities.
