Embraced by an impenetrable forest edged by the Rufiji River, Selous Kulinda boasts the most stunning view over the untouched bush of the largest African gamer reserve.
Overlooking the Rufiji River and its abundant wildlife made up of hippos and crocodiles, the camp provides seclusion and luxury aplenty, combining lavish furniture, comfortable amenities and a vintage safari atmosphere.
Selous Kulinda strikes even the discerning guest, as an accurate attention to detail has been paid to assure visitors the most unforgettable experience and a unique journey into an African bygone era.
This camp is definitely better than other camps outside the park and affordable compared to those in the park itself.
Food is crucial at Selous Kulinda, and every dish provides a world-class gourmet experience. International and African flavours blend into an idyllic selection of courses, while, on request, special menus are prepared to please every guests’ needs. Service is attentive and impeccable without being over-bearing and special care is taken to cater to guests’ likes and dislikes. Visitors can indulge on the deck with a drink while watching the sun setting over the river or dive into a lavish dinner in the covered dining area after a busy day in the bush.
Selous Kulinda includes ten spacious luxury tented camps, out of which five tents offer 4 x 6 twin beds and the other five tents offer 6 x 6 single beds all with en-suite facilities, decorated in elegant African style. Luxuriously equipped with comfortable beds, electricity and their own private verandah, the tents are the ideal retreat to relax after your game drive.
The camp is child friendly: The staff is able to put children in the tents to share with adults and, where possible, arrange for the family to have their own game drive vehicle.
