A luxury guesthouse with nine beautifully and individually decorated standard suites and three executive suites, all in a fusion of Asian and African style.
Port Elizabeth is a charming seaside town which acts as the gateway to both the gentle meanderings of the Garden Route and to the bush excitement of the Eastern Cape, so the lodge makes an ideal base from which to set out and explore, or to just kick back and enjoy the beautiful surrounds and facilities.
Our favourite pitstop in Port Elizabeth, close to the airport, and perfect for those coming to or from the game reserves of the Eastern Cape. The suites are a great size and the holistic treatment room is an attraction in its own right.
Singa Lodge offers all their guests a sumptuous gourmet breakfast, served in the dining room overlooking the garden and pool. From a buffet of fresh fruit, top-quality meats and cheeses, and a selection of gorgeous breads and pastries, guests move on to a cooked breakfast of their choice, washed down with fresh, hot coffee and refreshing fruit juices.
Later in the day, as the sun sets over the wide sweep of the bay, guests gather for cocktails in the intimate quiet of the outside lounge and bar, enjoying a peaceful moment and listening to the sound of the sea in the air.
After sundowners, Singa’s gourmet dinner menus can be enjoyed in the private dining room, outside in the Sitenge lounge, or privately in the suites. After dinner, there’s a choice of relaxing in the indoor or outdoor lounges, or heading up to the reading room for a fine selection of single malts and cigars, personally selected by Singa’s malt-enthusiast owners.
12 Suites make up Singa Lodge, with 9 Luxury Suites and 3 Executive Suites dotted around the property. The rooms have a strong African theme to them, with lots of African Hardwood furnishings and traditional artwork adorning the walls. Rooms are all spacious with good amenities and furnishings.
As this is more of a boutique property, it is not ideally suited to children and there are certainly better options in Port Elizabeth for families wishing to stay there.
