Following a major refurbishment Strand Hotel is now a modern, four star hotel that enjoys a wonderful seaside location within a short walk of the centre of Swakopmund. Contemporary yet with nods to the town's history the hotel is a very comfortable place from which to enjoy the many activities and excursions in the area.
There are a number of places to relax around the hotel including terraces looking out over the ocean and there is a good choice of dining options including The Farmhouse Deli for breakfast and all day bistro, the Ocean Terrace specialising in seafood and the more informal Brewer and Butcher serving burgers and grills and beer from their micro-brewery.
Well located overlooking the ocean and just a few minutes walk from the centre of town, Strand Hotel is a great base to explore Swakopmund and the surrounding area.
The hotel offers a variety of rooms and suites most of which have sea views and some with balconies. The rooms are furnished in a bright modern style with TV, safe and ensuite shower.
There is much to see and do in Swakpomund including desert tours, boat trips and scenic flights.
The hotel welcomes children of all ages and a number of their rooms are designed to accommodate up to two adults and two children.
