Tanzania is a wonderful introduction to Africa and therefore ideal for a family safari holiday. Its reserves have some of the largest concentrations of wild mammals anywhere in the world, and its rich culture - including the Masai people - makes the country a rewarding destination.
If you would like to extend your family holiday in Tanzania with a few nights relaxing by the beach in Zanzibar then we can arrange a three night stay at the luxurious Essque Zalu from £770pp
Accommodation includes: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, Oliver’s Camp, Dunia Camp and Ubuntu Camp
Depart London Heathrow on your scheduled overnight flight to Addis Abba
On arrival in Addis Abba, connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival in Kilimanjaro, you will be transferred by road to Oliver's Camp for a two night stay.
Due to its remote location in the south-eastern reaches of the park Oliver's Camp allows you to get away from the crowds and fully appreciate this pristine wilderness. The design and atmosphere of the camp evokes the classic safari experience with wooden furniture and comfy chairs in the lounge tent and the traditionally styled tents provide bush luxury in harmony with their natural surroundings. The camp is able to offer activities beyond the usual game drives including off road and night drives (complete with night vision goggles!) and also the opportunity to head out on foot with an expert walking guide.
Today, you will be transferred by road to Lake Manyara National Park for a 1 night stay at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge is a place which offers tranquillity atop a towering terracotta escarpment, allowing amazing views of the lake and the landscape. Accommodation is in circular thatched rooms based on traditional Masai bomas and each room has a verandah. Public areas are reached via a wooden bridge over a stream and consist of dining room, bar, infinity pool and a stunning observation point.
Today, you will fly from Lake Manyara National Park to the Serengeti for a 2 night stay at Dunia Camp on a full board basis including activities.
Dunia is a tranquil semi-permanent camp with just eight spacious tented suites, each with expansive views of the pristine wilderness and game-filled plains from a large private veranda. Attention to every detail is balanced by a graceful simplicity in harmony with the serene location. Enjoy an exclusive Serengeti safari with superb sightings of resident game and migration viewing twice a year, and round it all off with a sunrise hot-air balloon flight.
Today, you will fly to Ubuntu Camp for a two night stay on a full board basis including activities.
Ubuntu Camp moves with the migrating herds of wildebeest. From July to October, the camp is pitched in the northern Serengeti, from November to March, it is in the Kusini area of the southern Serengeti, and from May to mid-July, it is located in the Western Corridor. With seven spacious tents, each with full en-suite facilities, Ubuntu uncovers the more fascinating and unexplored corners of the Serengeti.
Today you will fly to Kilimanjaro for your overnight flight to London Heathrow via Addis Abba.
