A destination for the discerning traveller as it nestles in the Mpumalanga veld amid beautiful lakes and rivers.
Each of the hotel’s 25 rooms & suites is individually designed and decorated and all have private patios and lake views. For those seeking extra privacy there are a number of two and three-bedroom cottages located in the grounds, ideal for families and available on a self-catering basis. Walkersons’ location makes it the perfect retreat before or after a Kruger safari.
Similar in style to a Scottish country-estate, where fly-fishing, hiking and horse-riding are on offer. The cottages are perfect for self-catering, and for those wishing to drive from Johannesburg to the Kruger it is the prefect overnight stop.
Exposed brick wall, stunning views and food complimenting wine, Dullstroom restaurant is not to be missed. Their masterful chefs use their culinary skills to create taste bud pleasing meals, every time, every night. A few house favourites are the roast duck with black cherry sauce or the perfectly cooked rainbow trout. And with a selection of vintage wines, you will be spoilt for choice – Yum.
Walkersons Hotel & Spa has various rooms to suit different luxury needs. All suites come with en-suites, a feature fireplace (to keep you warm in those winter months) and a private patio which showcases your spectacular view of either the lakeside or mountains. Added extras are private outdoor showers, Jacuzzi tubs or kitchenette facilities. The cottages are self catering and much more family or large group orientated. Set away slightly from the main property, but still in reach to use the facilities. They come with kitchenettes, a braai and all provide fantastic views.
No children under the age of 6 are allowed to stay at the hotel and if your children are between the ages of 6-12 you will be asked to dine in the Family Dining Room. Walkersons Hotel and Spa, due to its facilities (i.e. the spa) is seen much more of an adult accommodation, so we wouldn’t recommend taking children under the age of 10.
