Abu Camp is one of the leading camps in the Wilderness Safaris portfolio, offering guests the chance to immerse themselves in this pristine, natural habitat and explore it in the hands of highly skilled guides. The game viewing here is fantastic and guests will be able to experience the bush by vehicle, on foot or in traditional mokoro canoes depending on the time of year. In between activities, guests can relax in their huge tented suites or on the open decking area of the main lodge. The food here is wonderful and sundowners around the campfire are always popular. After a long day exploring the bush, you will have the chance to sleep out on their "Star Bed" - another feature that makes Abu one of the unique camps in Africa.
Abu Camp is justifiably one of the most popular camps in all of Botswana. The game viewing here is fantastic and the "Star Bed" experience is not to be missed!
As befits a camp of this quality, the food at Abu is truly superb. Breakfasts and lunches are taken al-fresco, or out in the bush if you prefer to continue with your safari activity. In the evening's sundowner drinks around the campfire will precede a fantastic dinner which will round off your day.
Abu is made up of just 6 tented suites, which means it retains a feeling of exclusivity and means that the unique activities you enjoy are never overcrowded. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the canvas makes them cool in the summer months but still snug in winter. They also have lovely shaded decking areas overlooking the lagoon, giving guests the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some afternoon game viewing.
Children are accepted, however, the minimum age for walking safaris and mekoro canoes is 13.
