Connect with onward flight to Victoria Falls and on arrival transfer to stay for three nights at Ursula's Homestead. This charming little safari getaway is tucked away within the a private game reserve and has just four African-style thatched en-suite Chalets, all with views over the waterhole. The lodge facilities include a lounge area with satellite tv, dining room, outdoor seating with fire pit, and swimming pool with loungers. Expert guides lead the morning and evening game drives in open four-wheel drive vehicles, and guests may opt for the array of adrenaline-pumping adventures available nearby, such as white-water rafting, bungee-jumping, and helicopter flights.
After breakfast transfer by road to the Hwange National Park to stay for three nights on safari at The Hide. This property epitomises what it is to be a family-run safari camp, and has more than earned its reputation as a consummate safari destination, for both the exceptional wildlife experience and the hospitality it offers. It is the place to go for boutique safari luxury, as it only has 10 tented suites, all of which overlook the waterhole. Between game drives and walks in the National Park, there is plenty of time to relax in a comfortable lounge, sit quietly in a hide to watch the wildlife or spend a lazy afternoon by the plunge pool. The addition of Tom’s Little Hide gives small groups and families the option of a more private safari experience and for those who have always dreamt of sleeping in a tree house, the Dove’s Nest provides a memorable night out in the African bush.
This morning transfer by light aircraft to Lake Kariba to finish with three nights on safari at Musango Safari Camp. Located on an island just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park, Musango is all about the owner – Steve Edwards. One of Zimbabwe’s finest, Steve’s enthusiasm for the environment and wildlife is very infectious, and those lucky enough to stay here will enjoy accompanying him on boat trips, and on game drives and walks. There are just six large safari tents and three honeymoon suites (each of which has a private plunge pool) all of them facing east so that they wake with the rising sun.
