Gunn's Camp is hidden on the beautiful Ntwsi Island on the border of the game rich Moremi Game Reserve and is regarded as one of the few remaining "luxury vintage" camps in the Delta. With just 6 tents in total, it offers a wonderful feeling of privacy and as such is very popular with Honeymooners. The tents all have outdoor showers and a bath, as well as a private covered veranda at the front of the tents which is a great spot to sit out and enjoy some impromptu afternoon game viewing. The location on the island means that game viewing is all conducted by mokoro canoe or motorboat, however, depending on water levels walking is also possible. The raised central bar area offers stunning views out over the surrounding water and meals are a real highlight here, especially breakfast which is cooked on the outdoor grill and enjoyed with birds chirping around you. Gunn's offers a truly magical, peaceful Delta experience and one not soon forgotten.
Gunn's is one of the few remaining luxury vintage camps in the Delta, offering an experience akin to that of the early explorers of the region -with all of the modern comforts of course. As it is such a small camp you get a wonderful feeling of exclusivity making it perfect for Honeymooners or couples looking for a more private safari experience.
Traditional bush fare is the order of the day at Gunn's, with all meals served in the central dining area. Breakfasts are often cooked outside and enjoyed with the chorus of the bush sounding around you.
Gunn's is made up of 6 luxury vintage safari tents, all with outdoor shower, bath and covered veranda area at the front where you can relax and take in the views. The tents are very comfortable and spacious and the romantic feel makes them ideal for Honeymooners.
Children aged 12 and older are welcome, although if the whole camp is booked then they will take younger children. The intimate nature of the camp, as well as range of activities on offer, means there are better camps in the area for families.
