Boasting an enviable location close to permanent water (meaning all round mokoro trips) Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp occupies a 25,000 hectare private concession in a game rich sector of the Okavango Delta. As well as fantastic predator sightings, Nxabega boasts a diverse and interesting birdlife and twitchers will be especially interested in the frequent sightings of Pel's Fishing Owl. From March to December fishing trips are possible from the lodge, providing guests with an afternoon activity to enjoy between game drives, walks and mokoro trips. The tented rooms are all wonderfully luxurious, with a strong traditional feel to them and plenty of space for private dining. The food is also a strong feature of a stay here, with meals served in a variety of locations, including the ever popular lantern lit bush dinners.
With it's private location, superb game viewing and wonderful accommodation, Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp rightly holds it's place as one of the best places to stay in the Delta. With year round access to mokoro canoeing trails guests will be assured a varied safari experience and the camp is one of the most luxurious in Botswana.
All meals at Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp are a grand affair, with delicious breakfasts, light lunches and wonderful dinners (did we mention afternoon tea…?) all served in a variety of delightful locations. Surprise bush dinners, picnic lunches and private in-room dining can all be enjoyed during a stay here.
The 9 tented suites at Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp are all raised on suspended platforms and offer stunning views out to the varied landscape of the surrounding Delta. They are spacious and very luxurious, with all the modern amenities to make your safari as comfortable as possible. Private decking areas are a great place to relax during the afternoons and make for a superb location for romantic candlelit dinners in the evenings.
As with many &Beyond Camps, Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is great for children, with dedicated activities to help them get the most out of their time in the bush.
