The layout and design of Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge takes inspiration from a traditional African village and the culture of the region. With its hillside position the lodge has wonderful panoramic views and access to an area of the Serengeti rich in wildlife.
Designed to blend into the landscape, accommodation is in a series of domed, thatched rondavels spaced around the grounds. The lodge's swimming pool is on the edge of a ridge overlooking the plains below.
A good value, well located lodge with sweeping views.
The lodge has a two-tiered dining room with high domed walls where buffet style breakfasts and lunches and table d'hote dinners are served. Bush breakfasts and dinners are also possible.
The lodge's 66 rooms are in two storey round stone and thatch rondavels with one room upstairs and two downstairs each with a private balcony. Facilities include a safe, telephone and WiFi.
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge are incredibly accommodating to families, with the options for adjoining rooms, triple rooms on requests, and cots (if notified before) can be provided. Babysitting can be provided along with various activities that the children can get involved in alone, or can be done as a family:
