Overnight flight from Heathrow to Johannesburg on British Airways.
Morning arrival and connecting flight to Maun. You will then fly by light aircraft to Makgadikgadi for a two night stay at the legendary Jack's Camp. Relive the safari days of old at this colonially styled camp complete with Persian rugs and mahogany furniture, located on the edge of the vast, flat Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Explore this land of endless horizons and big skies by quad bike and in the company of bushmen and meet semi-habituated meerkats.
Fly onward by light aircraft into the Okavango Delta for a two night stay at Mombo Camp. Lying on Mombo Island just off the north-west tip of famous Chief's Island, this is arguably the best and most famous safari lodge in Botswana. Boasting some of the best game viewing in all of Africa, guests can spot an incredible variety of animals simply by relaxing on the camp's extensive viewing deck or the raised deck of their fabulously-equipped and luxurious tented suite. Early morning and afternoon game drives with an expert guide will deliver even better sightings.
A scenic flight takes you to the vast Selinda Reserve, a pristine piece of wilderness. Here you will stay for two nights at Zarafa Camp, which enjoys possibly the best views of any camp in Botswana. Selinda lies between the far northern Linyanti Swamps and the Okavango Delta and boasts a magnificent cast of wildlife that includes all the big cats and major predators, and huge elephant and buffalo herds. Zarafa can take just eight guests and accommodates them in uber-luxurious vast suites. Added extras at this jewel include an open-air gym and the use of a professional camera & lenses for the duration of a guests’ stay, with the resultant photos put onto a DVD for the lucky few to take away.
This morning travel by light aircraft into Zimbabwe to stay for three final nights at Matetsi. Upstream from Victoria Falls and situated on a private game reserve, this is a haven of tranquillity that enjoys 15 kilometres of exclusive river frontage. The falls themselves are easily accessible and guests can also enjoy game drives and walks on the reserve, and motorboat and canoeing excursions along the private stretch of the Zambezi River. The lodge is split into two camps, each with nine spacious suites, and which share a swimming pool, gym and wine cellar.
