Where To Go In 2018

Rwanda
The central African country of Rwanda is the must-visit destination for 2018. Famous for its mountain gorillas, volcanoes and lakes, the country has come a long way since the terrible 1994 genocide and is now one Africa’s safest and most forward-thinking countries. When it comes to places to stay in Rwanda, traditionally the options at the luxury end of the market were quite limited, however, a number of luxury properties including Bisate Lodge and One&Only Nyungwe have launched in the country recently and, with the planned opening of One&Only Gorilla's Nest and the continued success of RwandAir’s direct flight service from London Gatwick to the country's capital Kigali, the future is bright for this Central African gem.

Seychelles
Another destination that should be at the top of your list is the Seychelles. Said by locals, to be a thousand miles from anywhere, the Indian Ocean islands, which have long been a favourite destination of honeymooners and wealthy holidaymakers are now much easier to reach thanks to British Airways re-instating their direct service to the islands in March, meaning its white sandy beaches, luxurious resorts and clear blue waters will be just a direct 10 hour flight away!

Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is also a destination that you should consider visiting in 2018. Often overlooked in favour of its more popular and expensive neighbours Botswana and Zambia, the country has recently been in the news for all the right reasons and is one of Southern Africa’s most beautiful and unspoilt countries. Although probably best known for being home to the Victoria Falls, there is so much more to Zimbabwe than this iconic African sight. It is rich in cultural and historical sites, such as the unique rock formations of Matobo Hills and the Great Zimbabwe ruins, and it also offers exceptional safari experiences with some of Africa’s best wildlife guides. A must visit for 2018!

South Africa

Botswana
Rumoured to be where Prince Harry fell for his now fiancé Meghan Markle, Botswana is a true wilderness, which houses amazing areas like the Okavango Delta, the Central Kalahari, the Nxai Pan, the Chobe National Park and the Moremi Game Reserve. As well as amazing landscapes and wildlife, the country is also home to some of the world’s finest safari camps and lodges and with the imminent openings of Dinaka and Qorokwe Camp and the major refurbishment of old favourite Mombo Camp, Botswana’s luxury offering is only set to increase in 2018.
