Located overlooking the Zambezi River, with views up to the Zambezi Escarpment, you will be afforded stunning views wherever you look, providing a fitting backdrop to the camp. The rooms are some of the most elegant tented rooms anywhere in Africa, with large decking areas with plunge pools, white canvas sides and huge beds.
The game viewing in private vehicles from here is excellent, with lion, leopard and wild dog seen very often and elephant, buffalo and hippo daily sightings close to the camp. For those looking to explore the Lower Zambezi in the lap of luxury Sausage Tree Camp is the one for you!
Sausge Tree Camp really epitomises "Bush Chic", offering superb game viewing in your own private vehicle in the Lower Zambezi National Park with top drawer food and service. The views overlooking the Zambezi River are hard to beat and you are right in the heart of the best game viewing area in the park.
Sausage Tree Camp is one of Zambia's leading lodges and offers food to match, with modern, "African Fusion" cuisine being the order of the day. Meals are served in a variety of locations, with crisp white linens, candles at night with surprise bush dinners often arranged.
Sausage Tree Camp has some of the most luxurious rooms anywhere in Africa. Each of the seven Luxury Suites consists of a lounge area, bedroom, indoor bathroom with open air shower, sliding doors leading out onto a large deck complete with lounge area and private plunge pool. Kigelia House also offers an excellent option for small groups and families, with two en-suite bedrooms separated by an open plan living area leading onto the private deck and pool.
Children are accepted from 8 years and older, however, given the elegant nature of the camp, there are better options in the area for families.
