Set high on a natural plateau, the westward facing Lodge borders the Zambezi National Park and is in an enviable location just 4 kilometres from the thundering Victoria Falls, Southern Africa's foremost attraction. Enjoying uninterrupted views of spectacular African sunsets and year round game at its on-site waterhole, the Lodge is ideally positioned to offer the most discerning traveller a taste of Africa at its best.
All 72 bedrooms boast the highest level of sophistication and comfort. Decorated in lavishly coloured ethnic fabrics and fittings, each has sliding glass doors leading to their own private balcony overlooking the unfenced Zambezi National Park while most look onto the central waterhole and offfer incredible game-viewing opportunities.
Appointed in the utmost luxury, the Lodge offers outstanding hospitality together with an authentic wildlife experience. Its also an ideal base for touring the Falls themselves and the many nearby attractions, offering guests a complimentary shuttle service to one of the true natural wonders of the world, and to the town of the same nature. In the Buffalo Bar, Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant and pool deck, friendly Zimbabwean staff offer excellent service and outstanding cuisine. The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show is located on the same property, and offers a festive African-style feast and entertainment.
Not within walking distance of the Falls but served by a complimentary shuttle. The hotel is particularly good for families, and in addition to the family suites, the self-catering Lokuthula units are also great. The new addition, the Victoria Falls Safari Club, operates separately as a private club.
The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge resort boasts two restaurants, two bars and two conference rooms. A complimentary shuttle service transports guests to the Victoria Falls and town centre. The lodge’s swimming pool overlooks a central waterhole whilst a guest library, TV Lounge, Internet Café, Activities Desk, Curio Shop and 24-hour Reception Desk are all located in the central block of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Victoria Falls Safari Club guests enjoy complimentary WiFi access.

MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant - Split level with a dramatic view of the unfenced Zambezi National Park, and focusing on a central waterhole attracting wildlife year-round, this a la carte restaurant offers a wide variety of internationally styled cuisine, with a touch of African and game dishes. Diners are tempted by gourmet dishes made from the choicest selection of local and imported ingredients, all complemented by a fine wine list. Little wonder then that this restaurant ranks as one of Zimbabwe’s top restaurants.
The Boma – Place of Eating - Described as an unforgettable African experience infused with mouth-watering local cuisine, spirited dance performances and traditional storytelling, The Boma – Place of Eating has over the years firmly established itself as a Victoria Falls highlight. The Boma provides a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights and sounds of Africa – together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people.
Each of the 61 standard rooms has either a double bed or twin beds, a bathroom with a luxury bath and separate shower, and a balcony overlooking the Zambezi National Park and facing the sunset.
There are just 5 of the spacious Deluxe rooms each have a mini bar and private balcony with prime views of the waterhole. They do also accommodate a rollaway bed for a child under 12 years.
Each of the 6 suites are in a duplex style, with an open plan lounge leading onto a private balcony with spectacular views overlooking the waterhole as well as the Zambezi National Park. This level also has a mini bar, variety of coffee table books and a guest toilet/ cloakroom. An open staircase leads up to the bedroom and en-suite raised bathroom with a large luxury bath and separate shower cubicle with massaging jets. There are telephones in lounge, bedroom and bathroom.
In the new Victoria Falls Safari Club Wing there are 20 rooms all have a private balcony and enjoys uninterrupted views of unspoilt bushveld and spectacular African sunsets. Each room is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with mini bar, a digital safe large enough to hold a laptop computer, a beverage station including an espresso machine, an extensive range of customised toiletries and complimentary WiFi.
Resort activities on offer consist of hide sits, guided walks and nature trails. Additional activities may be booked at the in-house Activities Desk including white water rafting, canoeing , helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls, game drives, walks with lions, elephant interaction, sunset cruises, bunji jumping and gorge swings. Guests may use the resort’s complimentary shuttle bus to visit the Victoria Falls Rainforest.
The lodge is family friendly with family units for those travelling with younger children.
